Inspired by similar groups and events around the country, we thought it was about time to have  one here in the Bull City!

 

From gym classes, to wine tastings, cocktail lounges, bowling alleys, barbecue joints, performance events, ski trips, and yes... even gay bars, the gays love taking over things. So why not get organized and get inspired!?

Q: What is Durham Takeover?

A: A group of people who think it's time for gays to socialize and network in every corner of the Bull City.

Q: What is a Takeover?

A: The act of a whole bunch of gays getting together and making a space theirs... for one night only.

Q: Is it a hostile takeover?

A: No.

Q: Is it awesome?

A: Yes.

Q: Who should join the Durham Takeover?

A: If you're always wondering "Where are the gays going tonight? or want to help make the answer to that question more fun and interesting, this is the group for you. Check out existing takeovers happening near you. You can see how many people are going. Talk up the ones you think you'll attend. Don't see one you like? Then create a takeover to tickle your fancy.
